Cuddle Bunny Lakeview Visit 24-11-21

Near the end of November, I took a week off work to do whatever I pleased. So, naturally, I visited the Cuddle Bunny. I arrived for a 7 pm appointment, the last of the day, during which the rabbits were a bit active. I saw Rex jump for joy when his last visitors of the evening vacated his pen. He's very relaxed and friendly, but I can see he really values his space -- I'm sure his sense of personal space is much larger with his size!

My first stop was the free-roaming rabbit of the day: Olaf. For the most part, he only glanced at me with disinterest. He seemed only curious when I sat at a farther distance and silently watched him eat. Maybe he just wanted to chill and chat over some food. I often do the same.

Once the previous group moved out of their pens, I stepped in to Cashmere's to start my appointment. He looked so adorable peering up to greet me when I stepped in that I had to grab a photo for perspective. He was also mostly interested in food, so I did get him to stand and reach for a spring of cilantro. You'll be able to find that over on YouTube. I really love his coat and his curiosity.

Next, I saw Rex and Lola again. Lola kept his distance as he tends to do and looked out for his buddy Rex. Rex was as relaxed as ever and appealed for pets after some cilantro. Lola felt did not immediately run when approached for pets and would start dozing happily in comfort. It seemed like he realised he was submitting to pets and then would snap out of it and start tidying his bed. He'd pause for a moment, I'd reach to pet him, and he'd start dozing again. It was very cute.

The next rabbit I met is an English Angora named Fraggle. I was so enamoured at the sight of him -- appearing just like a sweet little sheep. He is less than a year old and was born on Valentine's day. He seemed very accustomed to humans already and had no problem with me relaxing by him, approaching me to investigate olfactorily, or communicating with a gentle nip at my sock that I was in his way. He has such an astonishing coat. I especially love the more typical rabbit fur on his face. He looks almost like a comet streaming through the sky.

On the way out, I caught a picture between the holes in the pen of Lola sleeping on his feet.

The Cuddle Bunny recently seems to have acquired some new rabbits in addition to Fraggle and now have a rotation of 3 lots of rabbits instead of the 2 they previously have. So long as the rabbits are happy and healthy, I'm happy to visit and hang out with them. I think rabbits do love the socialising with different humans and gaining a rapport with the regular visitors. I love it, too.
